The Department of Business Administration (English) first began admitting students in 2006 under Uludağ University. Following the establishment of Yalova University on May 22, 2008, the Department of Business Administration was affiliated with the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Yalova University. It is the first department within the faculty to admit students at the undergraduate level. In addition, the Yalova University - Leeds Beckett University International Joint Undergraduate Business Program (UOLP) began admitting students in 2011. Students who are admitted to the Business Administration (English) program are required to attend a one-year mandatory English preparatory class. Currently, undergraduate education is provided, including the preparatory year, and graduate education is also conducted through doctoral, thesis-based, and non-thesis master’s programs, with participation from professionals in the business world.
Since business education addresses a field that is constantly evolving and open to development, it is essential to closely follow current market trends and offer education that is future-oriented and focused on innovation. In line with this approach, the program aims to equip students with competencies in areas such as organization, effective resource management, strategy and change management, organizational development and general management, production/service management, finance, accounting, marketing, human resources management, information systems, and evaluation—thus preparing them to become the managers of the future.
Graduates of the department can find employment in the private sector in areas such as marketing, finance, accounting, and human resources management; they also become eligible to pursue careers as certified public accountants or financial advisors.
