2022-2023 Orientation Program
Dear students who have recently joined our faculty and the Department of Business Administration.
Welcome. We have prepared an orientation program for you in order to facilitate your adaptation process both to your life at Yalova University and to your departments.
The aim of this program is:
- to support our new students to gain the awareness of studying in the university both academically and socially
- to facilitate our students' transition from high school to university life
- to contribute to our students' academic and social development
- to strengthen the communication between the students and academic/administrative staff
- to strengthen our students' sense of belonging to the department/faculty/university
Our orientation program, which will be held for 3 days (Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday) between October 10-12, 2022, will start with a general presentation, in which the city, university and department will be introduced. This presentation will provide you with the basic information you will need throughout your university life. Then there will be workshops useful for you throughout your university education. These workshops will be organized under the following headings:
- Learning how to learn
- Time management
- Foreign language skills
- Critical thinking/approach
- Introduction to academia
